4 Shariah Conditions for Halal Dhabihah

1. Qualification of the Slaughterer

The butcher must be a sane adult Muslim or from the People of the Book (Jews/Christians adhering to monotheism) (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:5).

2. Invocation of Bismillah (Tasmiyah)

Saying ‘Bismillahi Allahu Akbar’ at the moment of slaughter (Surah Al-An'am 6:121).

3. Swift Incision of Throat Vessels

Severing the windpipe (trachea), esophagus, and both jugular veins swiftly to ensure rapid, humane bleeding.
